Bangladesh Renal Association (BRA) is going to observe “World Kidney Day 2023”on 9 March with great enthusiasm. A brief outline of the Program is given below:
 

1.     A colorful rally will be held in the Central Avenue of Dhaka city at 8 AM on 9 March, 2023. Around 500 Renal service providers (doctors, nurses and technicians) will participate in the rally bearing banners, festoons and playcards in a festive mood. 

2.     A discussion meeting will be held at the largest convention centre of Dhaka at 11 a.m. to highlight the theme of world kidney day “Kidney Health for All-Preparing for the unexpected, supporting the vulnerable”. Our minister of Health and Family planning and other leaders of health professionals are expected to grace the occasion. It would be a huge gathering .Nephrology units of medical colleges all over the country would join the discussion through online (zoom). 

3.     Regional  organizations of Bangladesh Renal Association (BRA) will arrange local program including rally, screening for Kidney Diseases and discussion meeting on the auspicious day in their way.

4.     Bangladesh Renal Association (BRA) will monitor all the programs and select the best one for reward.

5.     On the eve of the world kidney day (8 march), BRA will arrange a round table discussion meeting with Electronic & print media personnel to share the idea of observing WKD and necessity of prevention of NCD’s especially Chronic Kidney Disease.
