Assalamu Alaikum. It is matter of great honor and privilege to become the first-ever elected president of our esteemed society and organization “Bangladesh renal association” (BRA).
I express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of our association members for electing me in this prestigious position with your collective effort and great support. I am taking this opportunity to extend warm greetings to you all and I wish the coming years bring us - Happiness, Peace and Prosperity. I would also like to express deep respect and gratitude to my predecessors for managing and leading the organization with great skill and success in the past days.
Our objective is to enhance and improve the academic and scientific research and administrative activities of the Bangladesh Renal Association. I shall be making yearly schedule plans to accommodate activities like fellowship and training programs, weekly online teaching sessions for the nephrologists, arrangement of national and international seminars along with pleasure trips/ cruise conferences and cultural programs with family members at home every year, regular publication and updating of Bangladesh renal journal along with its quality improvement. These activities will cover the areas as interventional Nephrology, hemodialysis & peritoneal dialysis - ensuring dialysis quality and dialysis center quality, Onco-Nephrology, Obstetric nephrology, Transplant Nephrology, Critical care Nephrology and Renal histopathology, etc. We would like to prepare a directory of all members of BRA and create a benevolent fund for the members in crisis. We would also endeavor to open the Bangladesh chapter for the ASN and extend the membership drive for the ISN, ASN, ERA etc. for all nephrologists.
Insha'Allah, I shall endeavor to uphold the responsibilities and intend to meet your expectations and address your concerns. I firmly believe, with your advice, suggestion, support and cooperation, we would be able to create a strong Bangladesh Renal Association (BRA) to achieve great benefits for all Nephrology experts and patients.
