Respected Sir,

On behalf of “Bangladesh Renal Association” we would like to express our heartfelt thanks and congratulate you as President of the National Cadaveric for performing the country’s first-ever deceased-donor kidney transplant from a medically brain-dead patient successfully.

We have been trying for a long time to make the deceased-donor transplantation, however with your sincere efforts; you have shown us the face of success by overcoming all odds and obstacles. Before Sarah Islam, we failed to convince a number of such cases for organ donations but you continued the effort and succeeded eventually.

We would also like to express our heartiest thanks and appreciation to all the members of the kidney transplantation team especially our Nephrologists, Urologists/Transplant surgeons, Anesthesiologists, nursing staff and other helpers who were associated with it.

About cadaveric organ donation, we need to sensitize and motivate our people that “There is no bigger donation than donating your organs”. If cadaveric transplantation can be done on a larger scale, thousands of lives could be saved.

We hope that in the coming days your hands of Co Operation will be extended to the helpless people and Bangladesh Renal Association will be working with the National Cadaveric Committee under your leadership for a very successful cadaveric organ transplantation in the country.
